This blog was set up for the spreads that I do in my daily life art journal. It is simply a Mead Composition notebook where most of the pages have been transformed with acrylic paint, rubber stamps, magazine clippings, bits of my calligraphy, and my writing about whatever happened to me that day.

Home Cookin'
Everytime I go to visit my mother, who's 83, she cooks like there's no tomorrow. We always have a feast. As long as I can remember, she has put up fresh peas in her freezer, and the kind that we know in East Texas as cream peas became a special favorite of all the grandkids. My daughter and her cousins dubbed them "Granny Peas," and that's what we call them to this day!
I painted this page with FolkArt "Linen" acrylic paint, and when dry, scribbled over it with Neo II watersoluble wax pastels, blending with a babywipe.
